Abstract：As an important indicator of psychometric hepatic encephalopathy score(PHES),number connection test(NCT) is widely used in clinic.Traditional NCT is easily influenced by age and learning effects.How to reduce the influence of these factors is the key to increase the efficiency of the NCT detection.Combined traditional NCT with the modern electronic technology,a portable NCT detector was developed.It could not only completely simulate the process of card NCT test,but also overcome the influence of age as well as learning effects.It could reduce diagnostic errors,improve the effectiveness of diagnosis,and treatment for minimal hepatic encephalopathy (MHE).
