Abstract：Lycium barbarum polysaccharide (LBP) is a kind of polysaccharide compound extracted from the fruit of lycium barbarum in Solanaceae. It is one of the main effective components in lycium barbarum, and has many pharmacological effects in enhancing immunity, antioxidation, anti-aging, anti-tumor, protecting retina, liver, and nervous system, lowering blood sugar and blood lipid. At present, LBP has been paid more and more attention in the stress protection of special environment because of its medicine-food homology. Combined with the latest reports of LBP at home and abroad, this paper systematically summarizes and states its antistress effects and mechanisms in recent years, in order to provide basis and thinking for the research of LBP in the special environment.
