Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic characteristics of neonatal sepsis caused by Listeria monocytogenes infection. MethodsThe clinical data of one case of neonatal sepsis caused by Listeria monocytogenes infection in Neonatology Department of The First People′s Hospital of Tianmen City on May 30, 2019 was retrospectively analyzed, and the relevant literatures were reviewed.ResultsA premature infant with a gestational age of 32+6 weeks was first diagnosed with groaning and shortness of breath for 13 minutes after birth. The peripheral blood white blood cell count was 6.11×109/L, the absolute value of neutrophils was 4.2×109/L, the absolute value of monocytes was 0.65×109/L, and the C-reactive protein level was 16.78mg/L. Blood gas analysis PH was 7.22, arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide was 50mmHg (1mmHg=0.133kPa), arterial partial pressure of oxygen was 67mmHg, HCO-3 was 20.5mmol/L, alkali residue was -7.3mmol/L, arterial oxygen saturation was 89%. The final diagnosis of Listeria monocytogenes sepsis was confirmed by blood culture. After anti-infection and other symptomatic treatment, the patient′s body temperature was normal and the reexamination result of the pathogenic indicators was negative. The case was cured and discharged.
